Marcel Wanders is one of the world’s most famous design studios, focusing on product and interior design. The studio designs for companies and architectural projects worldwide. Besides commercial work they also create Personal Editions, which are exhibited widely.
I was hired to create a monumental lighting series for the Personal Editions collection, consisting of four textile lamps, which would not be complete without a (naked) woman in it. Besides researching, designing, developing and producing the objects, I also directed and produced the photography and film shoot that followed.
The lamps (including the film) were on display in the Stedelijk Museum the first half of 2014 and are now partly included in the permanent collection.
